True Love from our Savior

Jesus Christ as God felt true love for all people on earth. God out of true love sent Jesus to earth as a Savior for our sins. Because of his love and desire for you and I, Jesus died to make us holy.

True Love from True Man—True God

Jesus Christ left his position as True God of love in Heaven and came to earth to live as a man in the flesh. God left paradise to live like you and me. He suffered cold and heat and earned a living with hard labor. Only out of vast true love for his children did Jesus Christ come down to earth. The Lord did not need to come. God could have gone on with the old covenant of sacrifice, but it was not complete (Heb. 8:1–13).

Mary, a young virgin woman, became the mother of Jesus (Luke 1:26–31). The angel Gabriel told Mary that the Most High God would come over her and she would give birth to the Son of God (Luke 1:35).

Mary raised Jesus in true love like any other child of the time. Mary’s husband, Joseph, also treated Jesus as his own son. Joseph taught Jesus how to support himself with the carpenter trade. When Jesus Christ was thirty years old, he began his ministry that led to his mission as Savior of the world.

True Love from the Perfect Lamb

As True God and true man, the Redeemer understood all the problems that people have in this world. Because of true love, he experienced the same temptation, pain, and problems that we experience, but he never sinned (Heb. 4:15). Jesus was God, and yet he was a man made of flesh, blood, and bones (John 1:14).

The Lord volunteered to strip himself of Power and authority when he came to earth. Jesus lived as a man and endured all types of temptation to sin. He obeyed the Father as a servant. Out of humility he endured death on a cross (Phil. 2:5–8). God considered Jesus the perfect Lamb of sacrifice (1 John 3:5).

I have always felt that Jesus knew exactly who he was from the time of conception. Otherwise, he would have strayed from purity. There had to be an awareness of who he was, and what he had to do.

Even when Jesus was a baby, he probably thought: “I Am the Savior; I cannot sin. I must remain pure, so that my Father can substitute my Holiness for their sins. My Father needs to look through my sinless body at the people. Then he will not see their sins: he will only see my perfection” (1 John 1:7).

Christ Jesus was about thirty-three years old when the Romans crucified him to death. After three days, the life-giving Creator raised his crucified Son to life. The Father then brought him into Heaven and sat him at his right hand on the Throne.

Blood Covers Sin

The inheritance of Adam’s disgrace stopped true love and brought sin to all people. Sin brought death to all people because all sinned (Rom. 5:12). Because the Creator is a God of absolute Holiness, he couldn’t come into the presence of sin or look on evil (Hab. 1:13; Ps. 5:4). This prevented a full union with his children on earth.

True love from our Savior washes away our sins

True Love from Jesus washed away our sins

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool (Isaiah 1:18, KJV).

Jesus shed his perfect blood, out of true love, for our sins when he died on the cross. The shed blood perfectly satisfied God’s demand for our holiness. The Creator considered the blood of Jesus an acceptable sacrifice for our sins. Because of the covering of his blood, Jesus can now present us to God as holy, blameless, and without sin (Col. 1:19–23).

Jesus I thank you for your true love for each of us. You gave your life out of true love. Help us always to respond to your wonder of grace during our life here on earth.
