Love Story from Jesus helps us wait with joy for our last sunset on Earth

The two witnesses rise in a cloud to Heaven after the mighty voice says … Come up hither. They go to meet the Lord in the sky the same way that Jesus did at his Ascension (Acts 1:9). Some would call this a type of rapture for the two witnesses. The Scripture love story points to the Lord coming for his children at their death (1 Thess. 4:14–16; John 14:1–3). We will meet God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit after our last sunset on earth.

Love Story of Cinderella

Jesus has given us good news. They killed the body, but they didn’t kill the spirit. Seeing the two witnesses ascend into Heaven reminded me of the old love story about Cinderella. She was a beautiful young lady oppressed by an evil stepmother. Cinderella didn’t have much hope in life, because she labored without end for the wicked stepmother.

Then something wonderful happened in the love story, her fairy godmother intervened. Cinderella won the prize! She married the prince and became a princess. The prize was larger than she could have hoped for.

As children of the Father, we also have the hope of winning the prize. We shall become princes and princesses because the King considers us his sons and daughters. Cinderella marries the prince, but her love story was only temporary. We have a better prize because it’s the gift that keeps on giving. We shall marry the King and live in the King’s castle forever and ever.

Love Story by Jesus promises Life

Father we thank you for the love story of the Bible. Thank you that you allow each of us to take part in your wonderful love story of the ages. We ask that you continue to help us draw other people into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Amen!
