Love Song of Praise
 to the Lamb of God

144,000 saints sing a love song of praise to their Savior. The love song of worship to our God in Heaven will continue forever and ever.

Love Song of 144,000 on Mount Zion

1Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. 2And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. 3And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders (Rev. 14:1–3a, NIV).

John looks and sees the Lamb. The Lamb, Jesus Christ, stands on Mount Zion with 144,000 redeemed saints. Whom do these saints represent? The prophet Joel says that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be delivered. The deliverance shall come out of Mount Zion and Jerusalem (Joel 2:32). The writer of Hebrews gives us hope with his words.

22But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, 24to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Heb. 12:22–24, NIV).

The scene of the Lamb on Mount Zion describes for us two types of hope. Jesus shows us our future hope with a view of Heaven. He also shows us the Christian Church today symbolized by the spiritual Mount Zion.

Mount Zion of Today

We have come to Mount Zion and to the Lamb of our salvation. The Lamb stands on Mount Zion, which represents the Christian Church (Ps. 48:2). He stands with and lives in the saints that he has … redeemed from the earth. Even while we still live on the earth, in the spiritual sense, we have already come to Mount Zion and sing the love song of hope. Revelation shows us a picture of the Christian Church today from God’s spiritual point of view.

Love song and praise on Mount Zion to our victorious Lord

Love Song from our Lord Leads Us today

This scene also reveals our future hope of life in Heaven with the Almighty God. The victorious Lamb stands with 144,000 saints of God who listens to their love song.

The 144,000 forgiven sinners appear as the same 144,000 saints that God sealed on their foreheads in chapter 7. In this picture, we see the saints with … his Father’s name written on their foreheads. In contrast, Satan puts his mark, 666, of ownership on his people.

Chapter 7 specifies the Lord’s people as his servants. The Father writes his name on their foreheads in this chapter, which indicates a sense of ownership by God for his people on earth.

Love Song of Living Water

There is a fountain of living water.
Holy life flows from our risen Lord.
Come and drink from the holy stream.
Establish your roots deep in the river.
Sing a love song unto the Holy Lord.
Yield fruit that gives glory our Father.
Let your living water flow on and on.
Flow on—flow on all over the world.

We also sing a love song to Jesus our Lord in life today. When we worship and sing love songs of praise to our God, we stand with him on spiritual Mount Zion.
