Children of the Heavenly FatherAs children of the Heavenly Father, he keeps us safe in his loving arms. Our Lord shields us from the evil around us and shelters us in his place of perfect peace. Our God always shows his children grace and helps us understand that we will always live. Our Father waits for us to run into the his mighty arms so that he can live in us and through us. We know that neither life or death will ever separate us from his love and peace. Even when we walk in the face of danger, our God shall provide a sanctuary. Our Holy Father desires our love because he cares for us. When his children let him, he holds us close, and will never let us go. He takes us just as we are and seeks the best for each of us.
Children of God Linda and I remain happy in marriage after 39 years. We have two children Wanda and Lisa. They gave us four grand children Christine, Jasmine, Trevor, and Merissa We live in Portland Oregon and continue our God child relationship with our Lord and Father. Child of God excerpts below from Pg 65 of "Walking Through Revelation With a Common Man." God gives me assurance of his love and his ability to take care of any problems. He gives me peace that reaches from today through all eternity (John 14:27). Child of God Raised on a FarmI can see the Lord’s guidance through my life when I look back on it. I was born in 1943 at Sturgis, South Dakota. I lived on a farm and ranch in western South Dakota for the first twenty-one years of my life. I had loving parents and three brothers. It was a good place to grow from a child into manhood. I attended Sunday school, as a child, and went to a Lutheran Church, until I was old enough to say, “I don’t want to go anymore.” I was typical of many young people and children, who have no interest in the church or God. In 1964, I married my beautiful wife, Linda, and we moved to Oregon. Soon, the Lord gave us two special children, Wanda and Lisa. For the past twenty-seven years, I have worked as a plumber in the Portland, Oregon, area. God and Heaven wasn't ImportantI had many goals and desires when I was young. I wanted to make much money and accumulate many material possessions. For years, I worked overtime jobs so I could afford the lifestyle we chose. I enjoyed exciting hobbies. I rode dirt motorcycles in the beautiful Oregon hills. In the middle seventies, I learned how to fly and flew airplanes for several years. We had many interests through the years. Some were good, and we still do them. Others were temporary, and we left them behind. I’ve experienced much over the years, and found that not everything gives fulfillment. I always searched for something, but that something always seemed to be missing. Child of God and Born AgainIn 1975, at the age of 32, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord God and Savior. Over the next few months, as I read the Bible and learned about God, life began to make sense. The Holy Spirit gave witness to me. I knew that God was real: I knew that I would live with him forever as his child. It is a comfort to know that when I die, I shall go to Heaven to be with my Lord. I joined a Lutheran Church and studied the Bible: this helped me learn more about God and his children. Over the years, I have found that the Faithful Witness always kept his promises. God fulfilled my life and gave me peace. He helped us through difficult times of problems and troubles. Child of God ProtectedPage 111: Linda and I spent an unscheduled night at the hospital in the fall of 1980. The next day we went to my brother’s house. On the way, we stopped at the airport to look at the remains of an airplane my family and I had flown in the day before. As we drove up to the twisted wreckage of the Cessna 177, I was shocked! I thought, “How could it be that the four of us lived.” As I walked around the ball of scrap aluminum, I knew that the Almighty God had intervened. He sent his angels to protect his children. Because of our God’s love and mercy, he saved my family and children from physical death and injury. I have looked back at that moment as a point of change in my life. I further sought the will of Jesus Christ in my life after the airplane accident. He led me on a long walk of deeper understanding and faith. I had accepted Jesus as my Savior years before, but I knew God wanted more from his child. I began the process of deeper commitment to Jesus after I realized how quickly life could end.
